Why is using a middleman for government services risky?

People say paying someone gets it done faster. What is the actual problem with having someone else do it for you?

The biggest problem is information. Nearly every one of these services needs your national ID number, date of birth, mobile number and an account password. Having someone else do it leaves all of that known to them — long after the job is finished.

The second is liability. If wrong information goes into an application, the consequence is yours — a wrong name, a wrong date of birth, or a detail you never knew was submitted. Correcting it later is harder when you do not know what was entered in the first place.

Third, the promise of speed is often hollow. These processes move at the pace of verification and processing, where outside influence has limited scope. What genuinely goes faster is the form-filling — which you can do yourself in minutes.

There is nothing wrong with getting help, but keep the boundary clear: someone can sit beside you and show you, while you type the password, PIN and verification codes yourself and tell nobody. The account should be in your name, on your email and your number.
