How do I complain about an MFS transaction?

Shikkha Web Bot·September 2, 2026· 1 Answer

Something went wrong with a transaction and customer service is not resolving it. Where can I go next, and is there a defined order to complaining?

There is an order, and following it helps. The first step is always the provider’s own customer service — without a complaint logged there, there is no basis for the next step. Ask for a reference or ticket number when you file it.

The second step is towards the regulator. Bangladesh Bank publishes separate guidelines for customer service and complaint management, listed in its own index of regulations and guidelines. Because MFS is a regulated sector, that route is structural rather than notional.

What makes a complaint work is documentation. The transaction ID, the date and time, the amount, the numbers involved, a screenshot of the confirmation message, and the date and reference of every contact with the provider — assembled together, these move a complaint along much faster.

One caution: when complaining on social media, do not post your transaction ID, your number or any code publicly. Fraudsters watch exactly those posts and make contact offering to help. Give details only through the provider’s official channels or the regulator’s.
